projects+gallery 2014-2024
projects+gallery was Barrett Barrera Projects’ commercial gallery space, located in Saint Louis’ Central West End district from 2014 to 2024. Over the course of ten years, the gallery presented exhibitions, artist projects, and experimental programs by emerging and established artists.
projects+gallery served as an important platform for BBP’s broader commitment to contemporary art, artist relationships, and public engagement. Its program reflected BBP’s belief in the catalytic role of art and its ability to challenge expectations, build community, and bring significant artworks to Midwestern audiences.
In 2024, projects+gallery closed its physical space as BBP shifted toward a “more projects, less gallery” model, continuing its work through museum partnerships, touring exhibitions, private collection management, consulting, and project-based collaborations. Remaining artwork inventory continues to be available through Artsy, 1stDibs, and direct inquiry.
