Barrett Barrera Projects manages a significant private collection of contemporary fashion objects, with a focus on designers whose practices bridge fashion, fine art, and visual culture.
The collection’s cornerstone is one of the world’s largest private holdings of work by Lee Alexander McQueen, with additional notable works by Dapper Dan, Pam Hogg, Rei Kawakubo, Patrick Kelly, Shaun Leane, Iris van Herpen, and others.
The collection also includes important objects connected to hip-hop and the genre’s broader influence on music, identity, and style.
BBP’s fashion collection serves as the foundation for its touring exhibitions and supports museum loans, acquisitions, and object-based research. Beyond exhibition development, BBP works with institutions and private clients to contextualize and activate fashion presentations through lending, consulting, and strategic collection management.
